American Veterans Alliance (AVA) was created to assist the large veterans organizations in reaching out to those homeless and otherwise economically disadvantaged veterans, that larger veterans organizations may have difficulty reaching.

There is a long history of Federal government’s repudiation of promises to veterans which is well documented. As has been the custom in the past, there are currently forces working behind the scenes in Washington, D.C., that have managed to continuously cut veteran benefits.

Responding to this need, AVA is taking aggressive action to combat the arbitrary denial of veterans rights and benefits, and has contracted with the Justice Resource Institute (JRI) to vigorously protect the rights of veterans and get their rights and benefits restored.

Often times veterans benefits are summarily denied without justification, or their benefits are callously terminated. Many veterans cannot obtain or afford effective legal representation. If a veteran can afford a lawyer, many times the lawyer is not familiar with veterans rights and applicable laws, or succumbs to political pressures from lawyers in the bureaucracy.

It is not always easy to interface with disinterested and arrogant government bureaucrats and their unfair practices, much less the legal system. Our team of experienced attorneys and litigation consultants can provide the assistance necessary to effectively engage the bureaucracy, in an economical manner.

The Mission of JRI is to assist primarily the economically disadvantaged veteran to get rights and benefits restored.
